8.    CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected.At this stage no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this privacy notice.

9.    PUBLIC FORUMS, TESTIMONIALS, AND PATIENT STORIES

We offer features on our websites that allow users to connect and share their stories. You do not have to use these features, but if you do, please use common sense and good judgment when posting in these communities or sharing your information, photos, or videos with others.  Please be aware that any personal information you choose to submit in any communities, forums, or reviews can be read, collected, or used by others, and could be used to send unsolicited messages to you.  Despite our safety and privacy controls, we cannot guarantee that you will not encounter inappropriate or illegal conduct from others when using the products or services. 10.   PATIENT HEALTH INFORMATION

In performing our core functions, we are not a covered entity or a business associate as defined under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (“HIPAA”) and the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act of 2009 (the “HITECH Act”).  However, we routinely conduct business with medical practices, and as a result, situations arise when we may receive and store identifiable patient health information. We do so in accordance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, including those under HIPAA and the HITECH Act.
